A "wonderful" father-of-two
from Nottinghamshire, Adrian Johnson died in th e Tube blast on the
Piccadilly line near King's Cross. The 38-year-old lived in
Sutton-in-Ashfield with his wife Catherine, 36, son Christopher,
nine, and daughter
Rebekah, six. The family said in a statement: "Adrian was a
wonderful, caring, family man who adored his wife and two young
children. "His loyal and compassionate nature won him friends and
admiration wherever he went and we have been deeply touched by all
the messages of support we have received from people around the
world that knew and loved him. "It is extremely difficult for us
to come to terms with the fact that Adrian was amongst those
killed and that we will never see him again." Mr Johnson grew up
in Skegby, Notts, and attended St Andrew's primary school in
Skegby and then Quarry Dale comprehensive secondary school, where
he met his wife. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golf, played
hockey at county level and was a lifelong supporter of Mansfield
Town Football Club.
