A 34-year-old accountant who worked for the
fire brigade was among those who died at Aldgate. Lee Baisden,
from Romford in Essex, had just moved in with his boyfriend Paul
Groman, after three years
together. They had been planning to visit the Greek islands this
summer. Mr Baisden spent a lot of time helping his widowed mother,
Denise, 58, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. His friend Helen
Lasky described Lee as a "shy, reserved person" who also loved to
go out with friends. She told the Daily Mirror: "He was very
bright and very loving towards those around him. "He was devoted
to his mum who relied on Lee for shopping and walking the dog." Mr
Baisden had been working with the fire brigade for 18 months and
on the morning of 7 July left for work an hour later than usual.
He travelled to Liverpool Street from Romford, Essex, and got on
the Circle line through Aldgate on his way to work in Westminster.
