Telling you about Dick Fellows is to talk about
the kindest and most gentle of men. It can truly be said that all
who crossed his path loved and respected him.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and, most
assuredly, a devoted and loving husband. Dick combined his two
great loves into a dual career. He taught high school english and
was so well thought of that the student body of Plainedge High
School, North Massapequa, class of 1973 co-dedicated their
yearbook to him. It was an honor Dick always cherished. Along with
teaching, Dick was a very talented professional musician. He had
his own band in the Syracuse/Oswego area and played in the New
York City area for years. Upon retirement from teaching, he moved
to Georgia where he continued to play. Music was one of his true
loves. Dick enjoyed fishing and loved playing golf. Our time
together was all but too short and I can only pray that the sweet
memories we shared will sustain me...
