Beetlejuice is a dusty rose-based nude shade, with a velvet [nearly matte, with a slight bit of creamy slip] finish. I wear it with my old KVD Lolita lipliner and think that it is a very close match shadewise – Beetlejuice is a bit lighter & has a bit more of a truer rose base. I think that the official swatch photos are slightly too light & pink, but I suppose it looks different on different skintones. I used to think that the highlighters from Revolution were their best products, but they have really perfected their bullet lipstick formula over the past few years, so much so that I now think that they’re the best product that Revolution makes; this doesn’t drag during application, it doesn’t make my lips feel dry or enhance dry spots, and it feels weightless. The formula has great pigmentation & once it’s on your lips it won’t smudge or bleed, and it hasn’t had a noticeably drying effect on my lips. This will wear for around 4 hours before I’ll need to refresh it – I have got lots of lipsticks that wear for longer, but not any from easily accessible brands that cost around the same as many magazines do nowadays. This lipstick does cost slightly more than Revolution’s regular lipsticks since it is part of a collaboration line, but the tube is more substantial & has a more tightly fitting lid in comparison to their regular lines. Finally; the lipstick comes in a attractive box – perfect for gifting to a Beetlejuice fan
